Marvelous Monday–>Recap of Weekend

I missed everyone this weekend! I kept wanting to read and comment on blogs but I didn’t have my computer, plus I was so busy!

Thanks to Katie for hosting another Marvelous Monday!

What’s marvelous is getting the opportunity to go to my sorority’s annual leadership conference in DC!
Our shuttle driver was totally awesome and drove us around some of the hot spots of DC. I managed to snag a pretty bad picture of the white house.

What’s marvelous is having our chapter be recognized while having awesome lunches and dinners and meeting sisters from all over the country.

What’s marvelous was the fact I got to bond with some of my sisters this weekend.  We were pretty much with each other 24.7

What’s marvelous is the little, beautiful things in the world.  Such as.. airplane view of a city at night!

Overall, I had a great time this weekend but obviously didn’t take many pictures. Oops.

Today is my first day of classes! I got up at 6:40 to do Bodypump! It was hard to wake up early but once I got going I was fine and I love having a huge chunk of my workout done for the day.  There were a few new tracks which made it more fun too.
Now I am devouring a bowl of Special K Vanilla Almond with Almond milk and Sugar Cookie Sleigh Ride tea.  I love this tea.. I bought 3 boxes when it was on sale after the holidays.
At 10 I have my first class and then I go till 12.  Then I have a break and have class from 3:30-5:30.  Overall, not too bad of a day.  I’m honestly excited to go to class. Nerd status.  I will be sure to update you on how my classes are and hopefully my eats!

The only bad thing about this weekend was the fact I couldn’t control what I was eating.  They provided everything to us.  I definitely indulged by having cheesecake and normal cake but overall tried my best to control myself.  I missed working out too! So now today is a fresh start and I’m back on it with workouts and healthy food.  I missed it! (obviously this is a lifestyle for me now 🙂 )

I hope you all have a FABULOUS MARVELOUS Monday!

How do you get back on the stick after indulging over a weekend?!?

  1. Sounds like you had so much with the sorority!! I am glad to hear that I am not the only one who had a few less than stellar days last week. I just prepped myself food and said alright woman you had enough chocolate for a family of 5 last week lets do a sugar detox until super bowl and we can discuss then. Boom – happy & healthy girl!

  2. I remember being excited to go to class at the start of a semester too. New material and things to plan for, fun stuff for a nerd like me. And it’s pretty normal for me to have unhealthier weekends than I do weekdays, there’s more going on, more dinners out and such. Part of life, as long as you get back on track and try to eat healthy when you can I think that’s great!

  3. I am SO excited about the start of a new semester. I always am! It helps me stick with a routine, especially on the healthy eating front.

  4. Good for you to get up early and get to body pump! It’s ok to indulge here and there girl! Balance and moderation key!

    Have a great week!

  5. Good luck in your first day back! Props to you for getting up early 🙂 Oh those events where food (esp sweets are everywhere) is tough. I usually try to eat lots of fruit and veggies and of course make sure to work out 🙂 Sometimes I get too hard on myself, but it’s nature and you just persevere

  6. that sounds like a great weekend!! and hey mini vaca is meant for some indulgence right?! 😉 .. i just have one completely clean day of eating, no snacks and a good workout and i feel back to myself after that and then could go back to my normal routine!
